This parliament consists of two houses, the senate house (Dewan Negara) and the Hall of the People (Dewan Rakyat). Bills must be passed by both houses and assented by the Yang di-pertuan Agong. The senate consist about 70 members; those are 26 are chosen by the 13 state assemblies and 44 are selected by the king.
